  • Use the search bar to find your food from our Australian food database, or scan a barcode using the free barcode scanner.
  • Select the food item, adjust the portion size if needed, and tap “Add to Log”.

2. How do I use the free barcode scanner?

To scan a barcode:

  • Tap the barcode icon on the main screen.
  • Point your camera at the food product’s barcode.
  • Once scanned, the food item will appear. Adjust the portion size if needed, then add it to your log.

3. Can I set calorie and weight goals?

Yes! To set your goals:

  • Go to the Goals section in the app.
  • Enter your target calorie intake and weight goals.
  • Save your changes and track your progress daily.

4. Is the food database tailored for Australians?

Absolutely! Calcount features a comprehensive Australian food database, including local brands, popular products, and meals commonly found in Australia.


5. How do I view my daily calorie progress?

Your progress is displayed on the home screen, showing:

  • Total calories consumed
  • Remaining calories for the day
  • A breakdown of logged meals and snacks

6. Is Calcount free to use?

Yes! Calcount is completely free to use, including our barcode scanner and food database. There are no hidden fees or subscriptions.
